Announcing SPF 2009!

SPF is Pittsburgh's new Small Press Festival. Held in July 2009, it will be a month of small-press related events, including readings, screenings and parties, topped off by a small press Expo held July 18-19 in the Regina Miller Gallery on the CMU campus.

Open Thread is a new regional arts organization, which seeks to establish frameworks for artistic discovery in Pittsburgh and the surrounding tri-state area. Open Thread provides local communities with arts outreach, education, and opportunities for publication, performance or exhibition.

Our call for online submissions is always open. By submitting to Open Thread, your work will be reviewed for possible inclusion in OTQ, our online quarterly journal; the Regional Review series of print publications, POETSBURGH, our reading series in collaboration with Weave Magazine, and Variety, Variety, Variety!, our regularly-held performance events.
